One writes your script and scores your hook before you hit record. One checks that your title and thumbnail never say the same thing. One finds every dead second in your recording. One drafts replies to your comments, in your voice. And the last one, the best, hunts your niche for videos that blew up. They write. You upload.
Made by Jake Schincariol: The YouTube agent skill, free and open source. No signup, no API key. I installed it and ran it on real videos, start to finish.
On your phone? The skills run on a computer, in Claude Code. Open federicodonatone.com/youtube there, or .
A skill is a set of instructions that Claude reads when the task needs it. Six of these eleven come with a small Python tool that does the math. The tools need no extra packages, and nothing connects to your account.
/yt-scriptTurns one idea into a script you can read on camera. Writes five hooks from 21 formulas, scores them with a tool and keeps the best two.
+ hookscore.py/yt-packageWrites the title and the thumbnail words as one pair, then checks both: too long for a phone, too vague, or saying the same thing twice.
+ title.py/yt-editReads the transcript of your raw recording and lists every cut with its time: dead air, filler, the lines you said twice. You make the cuts.
+ deadair.py/yt-commentSorts your comments into four piles: questions, corrections, praise, bait. Drafts short replies in your voice and says which one to pin.
/yt-planPlans a week that fits the hours you really have: one main video, one quick one, and three Shorts cut from the main one.
/yt-shortsFinds the moments of a long video that make sense on their own, 20 to 55 seconds, and writes a new first line for each.
/yt-seoWrites the description and the few tags worth having, for the words people really type into search.
/yt-chaptersMarks chapters from your transcript and checks YouTube’s three rules, so they really show under your video.
+ chapters.py/yt-retentionReads the retention file from YouTube Studio and finds where people left: the opening, the sudden drops, the slow slide.
+ retention.py/yt-auditReviews your last ten titles, your thumbnails and your first 15 seconds, and ends with one fix.
/yt-viralFinds the videos that blew up in your niche. It ranks each one against its own channel’s usual views, so a hit on a small channel shows up too.
+ swipe.pyThe best oneIn clean test folders on a Mac: the install, the six tools on real files, and three of the skills inside Claude Code. Every number below is what they printed.
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel
I tested 11 free Claude skills for your YouTube channel. Before you waste a weekend installing them, which ones actually matter?
For one video idea, /yt-script wrote 9 hooks and scored all of them. The first five scored 46 to 56, so it rewrote them. It kept the best two, 76 and 66, and wrote the script under the winner.
✗ duplicate the thumbnail repeats the title on 11, ai, employees, free
✓ thumbnail and title carry different words
Same title, new words on the thumbnail: 84 became 100. Both runs flagged one more thing to check: a phone feed shows only “11 FREE AI Employees That Run Your...”.
The transcript of a live webinar I did, 58 minutes, never edited. It printed every cut with its time. It never touches your video file: you make the cuts in your editor. A live talk has few dead seconds. A solo take, with retakes, usually has more.
I collected 822 public videos from 21 channels of the Claude and AI niche and ran swipe.py on them. First place: “The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Claude AI” by Metics Media. 2,020,193 views, on a channel whose usual video, the median of its last 40, gets 14,406.
The top five of swipe.py, as it printed them from the public lists, where views are rounded:
Why two numbers. swipe.py reads the quick public list, where views are rounded: 2,000,000 for this video and a median of 14,000, so it printed 142.86×. Then I read the 40 videos one by one: 2,020,193 against a median of 14,406.5. That's 140×. And Metics Media is a big channel, 744,000 subscribers. What matters is the multiple.
